How to prepare your photographs:

• When scanning always go for the highest resolution and the lowest compression: When scanning your image use the highest resolution your scanner can produce (e.g. 300dpi – 1200dpi or higher). If your scanner lets you choose a compression setting, always choose LOW (so there’s less compression). High compression = pixelated, no good photos. Higher resolution and lower compression give me more to work with.
• Keep in mind that 300dpi is a 1:1 version of your photo. If you have a wallet size photo that you scan at 300dpi, it will reprint as a wallet size photo. A higher resolution scan will allow for larger prints if you need that for the finished product.
• I accept the following file types: .jpg, .psd, .pdf, .tiff
• Send the image as an attachment and I will give you a quote within 24 hours.
• “The only copy I have is a digital file someone else sent to me, and I don’t know if it’s in good shape to restore and reprint.” Not to worry. Send it over and I can let you know what your options are.
• Due to logistical and liability issues I do not accept original prints in the mail, sorry.
